State Association membership at NAHC is open to all organizations representing home care and hospice providers on a state level. A major focus of the Forum of State Associations is to assist state associations develop and grow into strong state advocates and fiscally sound organizations.
NAHC not only supports that effort, but is committed to being your advocate in Washington, D.C., representing your home care and hospice interests before Congress, the regulatory agencies, the courts and the media.
NAHC and FSA Promote National Public Relations and Grassroot Advocacy Campaign
The National Association for Home Care & Hospice and the NAHC Forum of State Associations have come together to produce this historic and timely campaign. The idea for the campaign was first discussed by the Forum of State Associations at the October 2008 Annual Meeting in Florida. A Forum taskforce was created from that discussion to coordinate with NAHC staff in working on a national plan.
After a thorough search process the Neiman Group, from Harrisburg, PA, was selected to lead this 4 year strategic public relations campaign. The Neiman group was selected for their experience and their creative approach to 21st Century public relations problems. In their proposal they;
Established a national campaign slogan and motto, “Help Us Choose Home”
Produced a 3 minute music video using, American Idol Star, Chris Daugherty’s hit song ‘Home”
Developed the outline for a campaign web site, helpuschoosehome.com
Created a special video delivery tool, a quality pen with the” help us choose home” logo emblazoned on the outside and a USB memory stick on the top with the video loaded and ready to play.
Presented a complete short term, mid range and long term campaign outline, promoting home care and hospice as a key element of health care reform.
